You put a good batch of stock online and for the first weeks very little happens. A month later you get more orders in one week than in the whole month before. It feels like chance, but in my data there is a pattern.
I counted my completed orders for 2023, 2024 and 2025 per month. The pattern is not smooth and three years is not a lot. Still, the period from August to October stands out every year.
This article is about the month, not the day or the hour. That part is covered in when people buy on Vinted.
How I counted the months
I use the order data from my Vinted account. Every completed order counts once, in the month in which the buyer ordered. Cancelled orders are left out.
Two limits come with this. An order can contain several items, so these are orders and not items. And the numbers do not say how much I had online in a given month, which means a busy month can also be a month with a lot of stock.
What the three years show side by side
Pick a year and a month. Switch to share to compare the years fairly, because volume is higher every year.
All the figures, with the darkest cells marking that year’s busiest months:
| Month | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 2 | 14 | 29 |
| February | 4 | 16 | 33 |
| March | 2 | 15 | 54 |
| April | 9 | 14 | 88 |
| May | 10 | 23 | 65 |
| June | 1 | 14 | 50 |
| July | 14 | 21 | 42 |
| August | 14 | 22 | 105 |
| September | 6 | 32 | 67 |
| October | 12 | 15 | 76 |
| November | 18 | 15 | 27 |
| December | 13 | 21 | 14 |
| Total | 105 | 222 | 650 |

Volume is higher every year. So below I compare the share of a period within its year and not the raw numbers.
August to October stands out three years in a row
| Period | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 |
|---|---|---|---|
| January and February | 5.7% | 13.5% | 9.5% |
| March through July | 34.3% | 39.2% | 46.0% |
| August through October | 30.5% | 31.1% | 38.2% |
| November and December | 29.5% | 16.2% | 6.3% |

The periods are not the same length. So here is the same share divided by the number of months.
| Period | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 |
|---|---|---|---|
| January and February | 2.9% | 6.8% | 4.8% |
| March through July | 6.9% | 7.8% | 9.2% |
| August through October | 10.2% | 10.4% | 12.7% |
| November and December | 14.8% | 8.1% | 3.2% |

Per month, August to October is busier than March through July and busier than January and February in all three years. Compared with November and December that holds only in 2024 and 2025. In 2024 September is the busiest month and in 2025 it is August. In 2023 it is November, with August sharing second place with July.
August is among the three strongest months in all three years. That does not prove a season. It is a pattern that returns in all three years.
November and December do not tell one story
In 2023 November and December were even busier per month than August to October. In 2024 and 2025 that dropped sharply. December 2025 is the weakest month of that whole year.
I do not know why. Whether I had less online or whether less was bought, I cannot tell from these numbers.
Almost any explanation right now would be a guess. So I am not writing one.
The August 2025 peak started in mid-August
For 2025 I also looked at the busiest week. The strongest period of seven days runs from 12 to 18 August 2025, with 50 completed orders. The busiest single days of that year are 7 May and 23 September, with 11 each. So it is one week that stands out and not one day.
What was different that week, I do not know.
One practical warning. If you look for your own peak in the annual statement from Vinted, you will see it a few days late. That statement works with the moment a transaction was completed and not with the moment of ordering.
What you do with this
My data says demand from August to October is strong. It does not say that more stock gives more sales, because I cannot derive that from these counts.
My reading of the numbers: have your stock ready before the peak starts and not halfway through. July is then the last moment to start, because August is among the three strongest months every year.
Also count your own orders per month over at least two years. Compare the share of a period within the year and not the raw numbers. A growing account makes every later month bigger.
Frequently asked questions
In which month do you sell the most on Vinted?
In my data it is a different month every year: November in 2023, September in 2024 and August in 2025. What returns is the period from August to October.
Is December a bad month to sell on Vinted?
In 2024 and 2025 my share in November and December dropped sharply and in 2023 it did not. Three years is too little to turn that into a rule.
Do these numbers apply to my account too?
I do not know. They are the orders of one account, mostly Ralph Lauren, counted over three years.
The shortest summary
In three years of my own data, August to October is busier per month than March through July and busier than January and February in every year. August is among the three strongest months every year and November and December are less predictable. That is a pattern from one account and not a rule.
Count your own orders per month over at least two years and compare the share of each period, not the raw numbers.

Create an image of 1200 x 630 pixels in flat design with exactly three colours: cream (#FAF3E8) as the background, navy blue (#151F3F) and burnt orange (#E2672F). At the top left is a small monospace label with a small orange square in front of it, with the text “ARTICLE / ALGORITHM & VISIBILITY”. On the left in the middle is the text “AUG–OCT” very large in the heavy grotesque Archivo Black in navy blue, with an orange rectangle behind the last character. Below it runs a thin navy blue line across the full width. Below that is the title in bold navy blue: “In which months do you sell the most on Vinted?” with the word “months” in italic serif (Fraunces Italic). No photos, no gradients, no shadow. Copy all text literally and without changes.

When do people buy on Vinted? What my sales data shows about day and hour
Almost half of my sales came in between 6 pm and midnight. The weekday barely matters. What more than 1,000 completed sales show.
PracticeHow does the Vinted algorithm work in 2026?
Vinted doesn't show a chronological list but a search engine with a candidate pool of 200,000 items. What the 48-hour test phase, the 3-favourite threshold and the 60% price rule actually mean.
